Instituto Superior Técnico (Engineering University in Lisbon) is now Bike Friendly with Biciway

The Instituto Superior Técnico (engineering university in Lisbon) managed, under the U-Bike program, to become more bike friendly.

Bikes were already used by many students, teachers and the rest of the academic community to commute. But now, through the U-Bike project, the IST sought to improve the conditions so that even more people started to use the bicycle in their trips to and from the Campus.

Biciway, supported the project and installed two service stations for bicycle repairs (an UrbanFix Basic and an UrbanFix STD with air pump), as well as correct Sheffield, Biciparking and Biciparking Plus parking.

With this initiative, the use of bicycles to get to and from Técnico is even easier and for this the new bike path that passes outside the institution, has also contributed (which is now being extended by Av. Manuel da Maia).
